Brexit Statement
December 2020
Dear valued customer,
Please be reminded that our last day of trading before this years Christmas break will be Tuesday, 22 December; re-opening on Monday, 4 January.
Following consultation with our suppliers, post-Brexit details regarding the availability and pricing of some of our products manufactured outside the UK remain difficult to confirm. This is unfortunately likely to be the case until more information has been released by the government in January.
At this stage, I would like to re-assure you that we have already secured good stocks of many items on site in the event of carrier delays. However beyond this, we are anticipating potential price increases and delays dependent on the outcome of a trade deal. Much the same as numerous other industries, we are openly unable to forecast the true impact at present.
We plan to do our upmost to hold existing prices, or source alternative products, where possible – however we ask for your patience and understanding, as this may not be possible across the board. In the event of any stoppages or price changes, a member of the team will contact you prior to an order’s dispatch.
If you have any specific concerns, please do get in touch and I will be happy to discuss matters further.
Lastly, everyone at Severnside would like to give our thanks for your support and custom during recent times. The challenges faced as a result of Covid-19 have been considerable, as for all local businesses, but thanks to continued communication with our manufacturers, we hope there has been minimal disruption to your service from us.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a positive start to the New Year.
Best regards,
James Dunning
Managing Director
